Purpose and scope of application

Designed to protect internal cavities of sensing elements of measuring devices from penetration of aggressive, hot, crystallizing media containing suspended solids.

 

PM devices are connected to a measurement device directly or through a coupling hose.

 

PM devices are used as part of measurement devices such as pressure detectors, pressure gauges, vacuum pressure gauges, pressure transmitters.

Design and operation

Measured pressure is transferred through a membrane and separation liquid to a sensible element of measuring device connected to a separator.

Separation membrane protects the separation liquid from direct contact with measured media. Liquid and allowed deformation of separation membrane are selected so, that additional error brought by the separator does not exceed the specified value.

Membrane phase separators of models РМ 5319МС and РМ 5321МС comprise upper and lower flanges connected with bolts, an enclosure with welded membrane is installed between them. Sealing between the enclosure and the lower flange as well as between the measuring device and the separator is ensured using gaskets.

The design of РМ 5320 and РМ 5322МС separator models with open membrane has no lower flange. Open membrane prevents accumulation of crystallizing media and solid precipitations in large amounts, that may make difficult or completely stop the transfer of pressure to the sensible element. Open membrane is accessible for periodical cleaning.

All about membrane phase separators

In order to protect devices against any adverse exposure of measurement media, such as: viscosity, contamination, crystallization of the measurement media itself, high temperature parameters, chemical aggressivity, vibration, the design of such devices often includes membrane phase separators.

In most cases, this is the only opportunity to measure the media aggressivity, due to this fact, such devices are used in these of other industrial procedures.

Generally, the design of any membrane separator is a quite simple device: it is based on the principle of pressure transfer using manometric liquid, that is separated by the membrane from aggressive phase. Manometric liquid transferring pressure signals is in direct contact with structural elements (measuring head) without damaging. And, regardless this simplicity of design, it is critical to create membrane phase separators of convenient, high quality materials, and to design them properly – its shall allow for reducing any probable errors. It is continuously checked by the special quality control department of our plant.

As to selection of a membrane separator, for its further use in production it is necessary to trust only high quality and reliable time-proven design. Our managers are always ready to help you to choose high quality membrane phase separators.

Such fact as the quality of separation system itself is also very important. Quality of all conducted measurements and accuracy of all obtained indications of a device depend on this factor. If a device with one separator is used, our plant shall supply the device assembled with membrane separators and separation systems filled under industrial conditions, that shall guarantee high quality and reliable operation of the device in general.
